2. Hosting and Server Logs

This website is hosted by ecomDATA GmbH; the servers are located in Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with ecomDATA.

When you access our website, technical data is automatically processed in server log files (IP address, date and time of access, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, pages accessed, HTTP status code). This processing serves the technical provision of the website and IT security. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted after 14 days.

3. Cookies and Consent Management

We use technically necessary cookies for the operation of the website (language selection, caching, storing your cookie choice). We only load services that are not technically necessary (Google Analytics) after your active consent via our consent banner. You can decline and withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings with effect for the future. The legal basis for technically necessary cookies is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(2) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act); for consent-based services it is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG.

4. Contacting Us

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, content of the message) to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries. We delete your data six months after your request has been finally handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Web Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Dublin) to analyse the use of our website. Google Analytics is only loaded after your active consent via our consent banner (Google Consent Mode v2, basic mode); before consent, no analytics cookies are set and no data is transmitted to Google. IP addresses are processed in truncated form only; the cookies used have a lifetime of up to 2 years. Data transfers to the USA take place on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision (EU) 2023/1795); in addition, and in the event that this decision ceases to apply, we base the transfer on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

6. YouTube Videos

Videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) are embedded on our website in enhanced privacy mode. Only when you actively start a video is data transmitted to YouTube and are cookies set; this constitutes your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG). This may involve a transfer to the USA, which we base on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision (EU) 2023/1795) and – in the event that this ceases to apply – additionally on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Further information: Google Privacy Policy.

7. Social Media Links

Our website contains links to Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. These are simple links; data is only transmitted to the providers when you actively click on them.

8. Newsletter (Brevo)

You can subscribe to our newsletter. Subscription uses the double opt-in procedure. We use Brevo (Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin) to send it; the data is stored on servers within the European Union. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Brevo. Upon subscription, we process your email address, optionally your name, as well as the IP address and time of subscription and confirmation in order to document consent.

Brevo enables the analysis of newsletter campaigns (e.g. whether a newsletter was opened or which links were clicked). The legal basis for sending and analysis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in each issue or by email. After you unsubscribe, your data is removed from the mailing list, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Further information: Brevo privacy notice.

9. Data Security

We use TLS encryption as well as the security plugin WP Cerber Security, which processes IP addresses and login attempts to defend against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Storage takes place only for as long as necessary to defend against attacks.
