CASTROL Power1 Ultimate 2T motorcycle engine oil 1l

Castrol Filter Oil is a special product containing solvents and mineral oil, designed for the pre-treatment of foam or cotton gauze filters (reusable filters). Particularly in off-road competition vehicles, but also in regular road use, paper air filters on motorcycles are often replaced with reusable filters. These filters have the advantage of lower intake air resistance but must be pre-treated for effective dust retention. Castrol Filter Oil enables optimal dust retention in conjunction with the filter material.

Castrol Filter Oil does not attack paint, plastics, metals, or rubber. Any spilled product should be wiped up immediately, as removal becomes more difficult once it has dried.

General note: When handling foam filters with filter oil, solvent-resistant gloves should be worn. Apply Castrol Filter Oil evenly to the surface of the new or cleaned filter and allow it to penetrate briefly. Then squeeze the filter several times and wring out any excess product. Let the filter dry for about 15 minutes in the air so the solvent can evaporate and the absorbed oil can reach its final viscosity. Minimum shelf life with proper storage is about 4 years, at temperatures between 0 and 35°C in the sealed original container.

Note: Castrol Filter Oil is suitable not only for foam filters but also for reusable cotton gauze filters. For cotton filters, the product should be applied sparingly and evenly using a sprayer.

Properties

• Thanks to its very low initial viscosity and good penetration ability, the filter oil easily penetrates foam filters and evenly coats the filter material.
• The lightly volatile solvent in the filter oil evaporates quickly, allowing the high final viscosity of the oil to develop after a short time. As a result, the filter does not leak oil during storage or after installation, even at high temperatures.
• Castrol Filter Oil forms a thin, sticky film on the active filter surfaces, which reliably captures airborne particles without impeding airflow. This makes the treated filter ideal for tough operating conditions with heavy dust loads.
• Once saturated with dirt, the filter can be easily cleaned with Castrol Filter Cleaner, allowing long service life of the reusable filter.
